Adobe Lightroom Beta 1 for Macintosh

January 11th, 2006

Adobe has just announced its public beta of Adobe Lightroom, for Macintosh only. They say that a Windows version is in development, but not ready for public debut. Too bad. System requirements for Macs are:

  • Mac OS X version 10.4.3 (Tiger) or higher
  • 1GHz or faster PowerPC G4 or G5 processor (including iBook G4 or PowerBook G4)
  • 768 MB of RAM (although more is recommended)
  • 1 GB or more of free hard drive space.

Guess this is one of the newest creations from the new monster, Adobe/Macromedia, interesting to see what this union will bring, or have we just lost our opportunity of choice and variety?
